About the Artist
Art has been a part of my life since I was very little. I was the little girl who always had a notebook with her and made little drawings of horses and dogs in school. When I couldn't own a horse of my own, I began drawing them.
Somehow the hours I spent drawing a horse made that horse mine, and I loved it! I cherish the memories sitting listening to music or watching a movie with my family while having a project in my lap.
Being a self-taught artist, I never took classes, but followed a lot of great artists online, learning as I went. Taking some time off from traditional art, I began dabbling in digital art which lead to a 5-year break from traditional art while I taught myself Photoshop and graphic design.
But, the wheel has come full circle again as I have begun seriously pursuing traditional art professionally, treating it as a 2nd job and loving every minute.
Newly wedded to my wonderful husband Chris, we live in the country in Virginia with our two Weimaraner's, Sully and Eva. Chris is my biggest supporter and inspiration. He helps me get the job done when I procrastinate with one single word, "draw" repeated over and over until I'm settled in and working. Laughter is good for the soul!
I hope to build my artist career even further in the coming years by broadening my subject scope and developing skills in pastel pencil art and graphite pencil art!
